Gastric surgery & being home

I been home now from the hospital almost two weeks . Now I been a very positive person , happy , but now I been a mess. "Sometimes I want a scream and shout and let it all out".

It is an emotionally rollercoaster even more once your home. I breakdown and can relate to Lea Michelle's song cannon ball. Though it's great to have your own chair and bed again. My parents don't help me much. I have to walk to the bathroom in pain. All I want to do is sleep. Then when  I wake up try to have fluids. Take more pain med and fall back asleep. I had knee issue before hand so it is hard for me to stand and walk even more now. Since the surgery my back has been killing. I had an open cut up high, so I am walking hunched. I can't stand straight .

I did get a mini fridge that has been helpful and closer to me to get too. I have steps in my house. Though because of pain meds making me dizzy and my knee it is easier.

I also came home on antibiotic cirpo. Then a few days later flagyl was added. I been running to the bathroom since. I thought I had dumping or cdiff. Even after shakes I go. I had fever a bunch of times. Had to take tyolene.

I been drinking out of measuring cups still. The first week in a half I was having protein shake 310 mixed with unsweetened soy milk, dannon okios triple zero yogurt. Now I can't even handle that anymore. I'm having chicken broth (Lipton w/ noodle drained) and 310 shake mixed with water. I am supposed to have 4/6 oz at a time. Sometimes I can only 3 oz. I try to drink water in between. If I could drink water or flavor water (lifewater) all day I be fine with that.

I still am going to the bathroom a lot , weak , pain, and tired. My feet are always cold. My body gets hot then cold. I go from turning the fan on to turning the heat on.

Since I have an open wound I have an in home nurse come every morning. I have to take off the dressing and shower. Then the nurse repackaged the dressing. It is gross my wound is big , drains, smells. "Who wants to even look at it". I tell people my wound looks like a huge vagina on its period. As of oct 22 now I got a wound vac.

The wound vac stings and there is a lot of pressure. People swear it is the best treatment. It's suppose to help your wound close up faster. It took me a bit to get it because I had wound infection. We'll see how it goes. It does bother me.

I also had a guy come to my house for pt. He mainly just talked to me. Gave me a few things to do. Not sure it will get approved.

Now about almost 2 weeks after surgery I was suppose to start multivitamin (flinestones w iron) , b12 (dissolve), biotin (5000 natrol dissolve from Amazon ), and 2 hours later calcium & d3 (wellesse liquid) .

Other meds I do take Prevacid as I did have bad reflux before surgery. I been off right now diabetic meds. I don't have gas pain but I know many swear on gas x. Other surgeries I had needed it.

As of now I'm a full liquid diet for a month. After I'll be on purée for a month.
I had surgery oct 6 repair of hitial hernia & Rny . Since oct 20 I have lost 22 lbs. I always had skinny legs, but I fell they got skinnier. Lost some weight in my face. Otherwise can't tell much.

How to know your Nissen fundoplation failed

How I know my Nissen fundoplation failed and slips.  I had got burning pain so badly pain in my stomach and heart burn. I would fell the burning going up. Sometimes I couldn't even sit up. I would lay down for a while. Nothing would help the pain go away. It would last and be on going. I would never throw up anymore. Then all of a sudden I threw up. After that I would feel my stomach muscles killing. The burning pain. It wouldn't go away till I had to repeat the surgery and fix it. First I would do a barium swallow to make sure it slipped. Yes barium is not that fun to drink. The scan is 1-2-3 easy. The test will show where the Nissen fundoplation is and if there is a hitial hernia.  They say every 7 years you might have to do it over. For me it was every two years. Yes you will have pain. Even with pain you have to wait to get a date to have surgery again. Of course larascopic is the easiest. After two surgeries I had to have it open thoracic. The pain and recovery was hard. T

Vitamins

Talking about vitamins in general and after stomach surgeries. I hate pills. I crush everything , take liquid or take chewable. Well I found about patch md. They make patches. Which helps a lot because not everyone can swallow or likes flavors of certain pills. My blood result came back everything was normal. Which means they do absorb and work. I wear the patches at night . When I was away I did flinstone chewables and caltrate chewable vitamins. Also if my order don’t come in time , I forget to order more I take them. Both flavor taste good . The only thing low was iron, that I’m anemic . Which I had brought a liquid from whole food, chewable from vitamin shop , and liquid of wellness . I haven’t tried any but the chewable. The taste of it is good. I take one a day with breakfast. It does not bother my stomach either . Also I take dissolvable biotin. As well as I use certain it’s a ten and vitamin E hair products. Another I take is b12 dissolvable. I know people ask flavor taste? The
